Senior Youth Worker

Senior Youth Workers advise young clients on emotional, financial, recreational, health, housing and other social welfare matters. They evaluate and coordinate the services of welfare and community service agencies.

Aboriginal Housing Worker

Aboriginal Housing Workers work under supervision in an administrative capacity to deliver housing management services to Aboriginals and/or Torres Strait Islanders in the social housing sector.

Community Development Worker for Social Housing

Community Development Workers for Social Housing coordinate communities, government and non-government agencies, and others to implement plans that aim to achieve sustainable improvements within social housing neighbourhoods, particularly within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

Assistant Community Services Worker

Assistant Community Services Workers provide support in any one of several Community Services sectors, working under supervision. Their work areas may include aged care, social housing, youth or mental health work.

Community Work Coordinator

Community Work Coordinators oversee the sites where offenders are placed to complete community work orders, as well as develop community work programs.

Support Facilitator (Disability)

Support Facilitators (Disability) work with people with disabilities and their families to identify services and develop support networks which enhance their quality of life and their inclusion in the community.

Support Facilitators (Community Services) work with members of the community and their families to identify services and develop support networks which enhance their quality of life and their inclusion in the community.

Community Housing Worker

Community Housing Workers are responsible for the delivery of social housing services to tenants, applicants and the community. They manage housing applications and allocations; tenancy rent and tenancy charges; and the rental assistance process.

Assistant Community Worker

Assistant Community Workers provide support and identify needs in a variety of community settings, often focussing on community health within an Indigenous community.

Coordinator of Volunteer Work

Coordinators of Volunteer Work organise the volunteers within a program or organisation. They evaluate and improve current practices and provide leadership and guidance to others in organising their work activities.

Team Leader

Team Leaders lead teams, and oversee day-to-day operations in a variety of business environments. They build effective working relationships within their team, implement operational plans, and provide resources, guidance and information to team members.

Family Support Worker

Family Support Workers provide assistance through a range of community-based programs designed to address the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of families.

Disability Team Leader

Disability Team Leaders develop, deliver and administer programs to enable individuals with disabilities to remain living independently at home in the community. They monitor the demand for service, identify areas for program innovation, and ensure that programs are client focussed and meeting the needs of participants and their families.

Early Intervention Worker

Early Intervention Workers aim to assist vulnerable families and communities in the prevention of crises and the necessity of high needs support. These services may include support groups, educational groups, supported play groups, support to maintain independence or private accommodation and family support.

Community Care Manager

Community Care Managers are responsible for holistic best practice services aimed at clients and carers accessing community aged care packages.

Care Team Leader

Care Team Leaders supervise the operation of an integrated home care service which includes home care, respite care, personal care and property maintenance.

Community Access Coordinator

Community Access Coordinators support people who are aged and those who have a disability, by helping them to access recreational activities in the community.

Pastoral Care Counsellor

Pastoral Care Counsellors plan, negotiate and provide a comprehensive pastoral support program and deliver spiritual and emotional support to residents and families in need.

Housing Manager

Housing Managers deliver tenancy and property management services to clients on low to moderate incomes and to clients with complex needs. Those with a higher qualification may assist in service planning and policy development in tenancy matters, or provide assistance liaising with government and non-government agencies on tenancy matters.

Welfare Support Workers provide information and advice to clients on emotional, financial, recreational, health, housing and other social welfare matters. They evaluate and coordinate the services of welfare and community service agencies.

Case Coordinator (Disability)

Case Coordinators (Disability) undertake assessments of clients with disabilities, arrange care planning, and organise the design and coordination of packages of service to meet their clients' needs.

Housing Assistant

Housing Assistants work under supervision in an administrative capacity, in delivering housing management services in the social housing sector. They assist tenants, residents, applicants and the community, including the homeless or those at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Community Recreation Coordinator

Community Recreation Coordinators ensure that leisure and recreation programs, facilities and services meet community needs. They can help plan, administer and review the functions of sport and recreation organisations.

Community Housing Resources Worker

Community Housing Resources Workers coordinate housing and housing related services, resources and support, to enable relevant organisations to deliver high quality services to tenants and build viable organisations and a sustainable community based service delivery system.

Family Services Coordinator

Family Service Coordinators inform families and clients of local community services, assist them in determining their most important needs, seek out and coordinate support services to meet these needs and assist families to choose the supports that best suit themselves and their children.

Pastoral Care Worker

Pastoral Care Workers provide person-centred care that takes into account the pastoral care needs arising from an individual's experiences. They may work in the client's workplace, hospitals, aged care facilities, schools or community environments.

Community Worker

Community Workers encourage and assist community groups to identify their needs, participate in decision-making and develop appropriate services and facilities to meet those needs.

Community Services Coordinator

Community Services Coordinators work in residential facilities, group homes, community agencies and government departments. They resolve problems within organisational guidelines, coordinate specific programs, supervise a limited number of workers or volunteers, and report to service managers.

Case Coordinator (Community Services)

Case Coordinators in the Community Services field undertake client assessment, care planning, and the design and coordination of packages of service to meet their clients' needs.

Aboriginal Neighbourhood House Coordinator

Aboriginal Neighbourhood House Coordinators provide a broad range of community events and social, educational and recreational programs at low cost. They aim to enhance the social and economic development of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island communities by encouraging healthy lifestyles and emotional wellbeing. They operate on principles of inclusive participation, community empowerment, life-long learning and active citizenship. Those with higher qualifications may be involved with supervisory tasks.

Community Program Coordinator

Community Program Co-ordinators implement community based programs. They implement and co-ordinate programs and facilitate and develop partnerships with people in the community and with other service providers. They are involved in service delivery, either direct client work or health promotion and community development projects.
